Scibble

Scibble turns a photo of handwritten math on a whiteboard into a narrated, animated walkthrough: GPT-4o Vision reads the equations, GPT-4o writes an explanation script, OpenAI TTS narrates it, and Manim renders the animation before FFmpeg merges everything into one video. The backend runs as a Node.js/TypeScript API plus a Python pipeline worker on AWS ECS Fargate, with SQS, S3, and CloudFront handling the async video pipeline.

Beyond the Code

I grew up in San Diego, California, and spent most of my childhood on a soccer field, I played competitively until I was about 18. Alongside that, I spent three years teaching part-time after-school STEM programs for kids, which turned out to be one of the best crash courses in breaking down complex ideas into something simple. That habit followed me straight into my professional life.

These days I'm big into endurance running, hiking, mountain biking, and skating.

Fun fact: I climbed my first 14er this summer (14,000+ feet of elevation), and I'm already looking for the next one.
